Mystic Treasure Charm
Mystic Treasure Charm - Jade Dynasty Wiki
A NPC known as a Metaphysician can be found in most towns. His main purpose is to start the Mystic Treasure Charm quests.
Metaphysician list and Locations
The first area where the Mystic Treasure Charms can be done is Jadeon, so there's no Metaphysician in the Divine Realm or in Sunstream.
Much like the Dispatcher NPC, the Shura Metaphysician's name is different in each location. The quest, Charm, and also spawned monsters' names are all different for the Shura area as well.

Mystic Treasure Charm
The Mystic Treasure Charms are special keys that allow you to unlock special treasure chests scattered throughout the world of Jade Dynasty. Note: Shura's Quest is called Suppressing Charm, and so is the item used to unlock the chests. Only the name is different though. The premise of the quest remains the same as in previous areas.
In order to get a charm, you must pay a small fee to the local Metaphysician (Telepathist in Shura's case) and kill a number of monsters of roughly equal level to your own. There are 4 level ranges for this quest in each area, each involving different monsters most suited for the given levels.
The rewards for unlocking these chests are highly variable but are often well worth the time and cost. There are five chests in each area, four "regular" with Deathmark Gilhook (Soldier of the Seal in Shura) spawn and the same possible rewards in each. The fifth chest is "special", spawning a Gilhook of Antiquity (Herald of the Seal) instead of a regular Gilhook and has better drops than regular ones.
See Mystic Treasure Chest and Deathmark Gilhook Map Locations for the locations of the chests.
Rewards
The following rewards can be earned from Mystic Treasure Chests:
- Deathmark Gilhook/Soldier of the Seal: There is a chance that opening the chest will cause a Deathmark Gilhook to spawn somewhere in the zone, or Soldier of the Seal - in the Shura area. This boss monster does not hit very hard but has a lot of health. It will give a very large amount of experience as a reward, along with plenty of provisions. Gilhooks in the first areas also drop Alliance Power beads (Steeling Bead and Fortifying Bead).
- Gilhook of Antiquity/Herald of the Seal:
- Money: Opening the chest may simply reward you with a small amount of silver or gold.
- Best Ying-Yang flag (used in Bloodsmelting)
- Best Blood Wine (used in Bloodsmelting)
- Best Dragon Skin (used in Bloodsmelting)
- Treasure Urns
- Treasure Bowls
- Honor Gems
- Arcane Coins
- Refinery Talismans
- Talismans of Craft
- Kylin Orb
- Wongzo Grape
- Plum Tome Fragment
