1) This is your Chat window.

The buttons near the bottom (Com./Party/PM./Allies/Clan/World/Class) will allow you to talk in different channels, for example to talk in Clan members only, you would click on the Clan button, and then type your text.

The 'Edit' button near the bottom allows you to adjust which channels show up in which chat window.

The small smiley face in the bottom right of the window is used to perform chat emotes and greetings, click this button to see what's available.

The eraser icon in the bottom left of both chat windows allows you to clear chats.

The lock icon left of the eraser hides all the future chats and locks your current chat history.

2) This is your Character portrait.

The red bar designates player health and the blue bar designates your spirit(mana). Ascended players who have chosen their affinity have a different border design. If Ascended characters completed their Chroma quest, they also have an additional purple bar below the blue spirit bar that shows Vigor.

To the right of the vigor bar is an icon indicating your current spiritual enlightenment level. Each faction has its own icon.

Below your faction icon is a small clamp icon. This will open your Safety Lock Settings and allow you to modify them.

Next to the clamp icon is a timer. Clicking on it will open the Online Rewards, which gives free items on a timed basis.

In the bottom left corner of your Character portrait is the PvP Settings button. This allows you to adjust who you are willing to attack.

3) This is the MiniMap window.

The MiniMap window shows you the game world from an eagle eye view. It displays your current location (Name, X Coordinate, Y Coordinate). The buttons, starting from the top left and moving clockwise:

• The Calendar page will show a calendar showing the month. From there you can reach a list of daily events by clicking on the 'Event List' button.
• The Hammer icon opens the JD-Mart, which is a system-run daily auction.
• The Compass icon will open the Map Legend, showing what all of the icons on the minimap mean.
• The Computer icon will tell you what realm you are on currently (hover your mouse over it).
• The Seated figure will allow you to Meditate in a Safe Zone, granting you experience.
• The Plus and Minus signs will zoom the map in and out.
• The Sword icon is the Destination List, click it to view the preset routes that you can double click to navigate to automatically.
• Below Sword icon is the zone map icon, click it to view the local zone map. You can click anywhere on this map to automatically run to that spot.
• The Question Mark icon will open the Help screen.
• The blue and red Pie shaped icon will tell you the current Server Time if you hover over it.
• The jar icon opens up the Orb Forging window, which gives your character additional stats for collecting Common and Advanced Orb Beads.
• The tower icon opens up the Soul Tower window. Once you have done that daily instance, you can collect rewards, see your rank, and get information about the monsters there.
• The scroll icon opens up the update log, which shows recent major and minor changes to the game.
• The VIP icon opens up the VIP Rewards window, where you can collect free items daily.
• The notepad icon opens up the JD Revelations window, which shows information on bosses and events.
• The crown icon to the left below the minimap is the Coronation window.
• The gift icon next to the crown opens up the Charge Rewards website.
• The sun icon opens up the Fealty System window, which grants you rewards depending on how many tasks you completed.
• The puzzle icon opens up the Battle for Supremacy window, which can sign you up for a PvP battleground.
• The magnifying glass map icon opens up the Exploration Window, where you can get various daily rewards.

4) This is the hotkey skill bar.

These bars are used to put your skills on for quick access. On the right, next to the yin-yang symbol, are a pair of small arrows. Clicking on these will open up to three additional skill bars.

The red button on the far left summons your pet.

The large treasure pot button will open the Marketplace.

The large yin-yang symbol on the right will expand or collapse your Esper bar.

5) This is the main menu bar!

This is where you can do things such as access your Friend list, change the game settings, playing mini-games, and of course, logging off!

6) This is the Esper Bar.

7) This is the Quest Tracker.

This is visible if you check the "Track all" option in your quest log. You can see your current quest progress from here.
