The Auction House, or JD-Mart, is a system-run auction. In order to place a bid, you will need to purchase a Bid Sigil from the Marketplace.
The auction runs from 20:00 to 21:00 server time each day. You can only bid while the auction is active.
You can bid up to 500 times on each item, and each bid costs 1 Bid Sigil.
You can bid individually, or place "Range" bids, which automatically bids at all prices between the two points specified.
After the bidding period is over, you may select a price to see up to four players who bid that price. You can study the bidding pattern of other players to gain a psychological advantage in future bidding wars!
The Auction House uses a low bid system - the lowest unique bid is the one that will win. The challenge is to enter a bid that no one else has entered, but is also as low as possible.
NOTE: Your Bid Sigils and gold are lost once you bid them. If your bid loses, or if the auction ends with no winner, then these items will not be returned to you.

For example, suppose there's an item in the Auction House with a minimum bid of 10 gold. Multiple people bid, each attempting to bid the lowest price. The final bids look like this:

In this example, the person who bid 10 gold 11 silver won because it was the lowest unique bid. The lowest actual bid was 10 gold 10 silver, but since there were multiple bids at that price, it was disqualified.
If there are no unique bids, then all of the bids are disqualified, and the auction ends with no winner.
