The Bloodbond Master in Southern Border

Bloodbonding involves the Socketing of Seals to your gear to add bonus statistics. Bloodbonding will allow you to acquire the best gear in the game.

To begin the process of Bloodbonding speak with the Bloodbond Master in the Southern Border (42, -32) to begin.

Some things to keep in mind: Only gear that has Soul LV can be decomposed. Only gear that is unbound and has Soul LV can be Bloodbonded (such as Honor Gear).

Bloodbonding Gear

To begin, you must purchase a Frost Blade from the Bloodbond Master in Southern Border (42, -32).

Using this item will provide you with a Blood Crystal.

Note: If your health is not full, you will not receive a Blood Crystal, and the Frost Blade will be wasted.

Take a piece of Gear that has Soul LV and that is also Refined to a minimum of +1

Speak with the Bloodbond Master and select the Blood Bond option.

Place your piece of gear into the slot and Blood Bond it (this will consume the Blood Crystal).

Congratulations! You now have a piece of Bloodbonded Gear!

Note: If you Bloodbonded a piece of gear that is not refined, although you will see the bonus it will not be active when equipped. Once the item has been Refined and the Soul restored via the Bloodbond Master you will then be able to reap the benefit!

Now that you have a taste of the benefits you can acquire through Bloodbonding, if you wish to go a step further - the Bloodbond Master allows you to embed Seals into your already Bloodbonded gear to further increase the attributes.

  1. First, you need to get some Seals - there are various types, however. Near the Bloodbond Master, there are five Forges (Metal, Tree, Water, Fire and Earth), each offering different Seals for you to purchase. Lets take a look at the Metal Forge:
  2. To obtain Common Seal Orbs, which are used to exchange for Seals, you must recycle your old Gear. To do this, take a refined item that has Soul LV and has been Bloodbonded and decompose it via the Bloodbond Master.
  3. Once an item is decomposed, you will receive Seals - the more powerful the gear, the more (and higher quality) Seals you will receive. Every 1000 Soul will result in 10 Fine Seal Orbs.
  4. As an example, decomposing a pair of Refined (+6) Lv135 Boots granted 591 Common Seal Orbs!

Note: Certain Seals have requirements - such as Metal Root 1, which requires Gear to have a Soul LV of 150 or more. To increase the Soul Level of an item, Refine your gear to a higher LV.

  1. Once you have your Seal in hand, head to the Bloodbond Master and select the Embed Seal option.
  2. Right click the gear and the Seal you want to attach to it.
  3. Then click on the corresponding Element Slot (for example, Metal Root 1 would utilize the M (metal) slot).
  4. Then click the 'Start' button.
  5. Congratulations! You now have attached a Seal to your gear and have a new attribute bonus from the Seal!

List of Seals

Rank Slot Star Gear LV Soul Earth Fire Water Tree Metal
1 Shoes 105 150 6 Weaken RES 466 Health 280 Spirit 10 Accuracy 23 Attack
1 Shoes 105 150 10 Weaken RES 280 Health 466 Spirit 6 Evasion 23 Attack
1 Body 105 150 6 Stun RES 466 Health 280 Spirit 10 Accuracy 23 Attack
1 Body 105 150 10 Stun RES 280 Health 466 Spirit 6 Evasion 23 Attack
1 Head 105 150 6 Silence RES 466 Health 280 Spirit 10 Accuracy 23 Attack
1 Head 105 150 10 Silence RES 280 Health 466 Spirit 6 Evasion 23 Attack
1 Weapon 105 150 6 Sleep RES 466 Health 280 Spirit 10 Accuracy 23 Attack
1 Weapon 105 150 10 Sleep RES 280 Health 466 Spirit 6 Evasion 23 Attack

F.A.Q.

Why are two Seals identical but have lower stats?

  1. Because for some elements the filled star item (★) has lower stats, and for others, the empty star (☆) has higher stats.
    • EARTH: Resistances (weaken for shoes, stun for body, silence for head, and sleep for weapon) - Filled is higher.
    • FIRE: Health - Empty is higher.
    • WATER: Spirit - Full is higher.
    • TREE: Accuracy if Empty, Evasion if full.
    • METAL: Attack if Empty, Defense if full.
  2. If all 5 slots in an item have the same star type, you get bonus stats. So you choose between:
    • All full: Evasion + Lower Health + Higher Resistances/Spirit + Bonus Stats
    • All empty: Accuracy + Higher Health + Lower Resistances/Spirit + Bonus Stats.
    • Mix and match the two types for potential higher stats in one area, but lose the bonus stats.

Costs each seal:

  • lvl 1 = 100 common
  • lvl 2 = 150 common 2 fine
  • lvl 3 = 250 common 5 fine
  • lvl 4 = 350 common 10 fine
  • lvl 5 = 450 common 20 fine
  • lvl 6 = 550 c 40 f
  • lvl 7 = 650 c 80 f
  • lvl 8 = 750 c 160 f

Total for 1 of:

  • lvl 2 = 250 c 2 f
  • lvl 3 = 500 c 7 f
  • lvl 4 = 850 c 17 f
  • lvl 5 = 1300 c 37 f
  • lvl 6 = 1850 c 77 f
  • lvl 7 = 2500 c 157 f
  • lvl 8 = 3250 c 317 f

Total for 5 set of:

  • lvl 1 = 500 c
  • lvl 2 = 1250 c 10 f
  • lvl 3 = 2500 c 35 f
  • lvl 4 = 4250 c 85 f
  • lvl 5 = 6500 c 185 f
  • lvl 6 = 9250 c 385 f
  • lvl 7 = 12500 c 785 f
  • lvl 8 = 16250 c 1585 f

One level 135 HG weapon +11 bloodbond and decompose gives 979 c and 200 f so need 17 of them for 1 set of 5 lvl 8 seals.
